P42 Pricing Update
Last Updated on Saturday, 08 August 2009 20:18 Written by p0wd3r Saturday, 08 August 2009 20:13
Hello gamers! We've decided to end the prepay discount for the regularly scheduled LAN parties. We are also changing the structure of the way we do things to try to get the most out of the space that we're leasing. Please see the following information, and post any feedback to help us tailor the arena for the gamers.
Monthly and 21+ LAN Parties
$20 for admission (6 party pass for $75, non-refundable)
These parties will be promoted and we'll do our best to supply prizes to be raffled off. Tournaments at these parties will be available, with a $5 buy in, which will go to the tournament pot. We would rather schedule tournaments separately so we can give them the focus that they require. We would also like to give the gamers that only come for the tournaments a more organized and competitive event. As many of you know, tournaments always start late as we wait for the participants to show up, or take care of other issues unrelated to the tournaments, so we're hoping to make this better for us, and for the gamers and also hoping to provide a good resource for the pro teams that would like serious practice against other pro players.
PC and Console Tournaments (separate events from the LAN parties)
$10 for admission per tournament ($5 goes to a tournament pot)
Please provide us at least 1 weeks notice if you plan to use the arena for a tournament. We will begin with a CS tournament, and try to make it regularly scheduled. We can run more than one tournament at a time for different games, so feel free to suggest other tournaments as well. When the tournaments are done, the party is over. We will also adhere to a strict schedule, so be prepared to be on time or forfeit.
Private event
Depending on the event and size of the event will determine pricing. If your home is just too small for your buddies, we'll help you out for as little as $5 a head!
Scheduling
The 21+ and Monthly LAN parties will be held in the middle and end of each month, respectively. The tournament and console events can be held any day, any time with enough notice. We will start with Friday Night, once per month for the CS tournament, with more frequency as needed. All events, public and private, will be added to the calendar here in the forums, and any event that has an entrance fee will be on our event schedule portal on the main page so you can pay early if you choose.
Fooding
Fountain drinks will be available for $5 a cup with endless refills. We will have a variety of energy drinks for sale for $2 per can/bottle. Snacks and candy will also be available. We will do our best to get good deal on deliverable food to try and save you time and money.

The forums are down at the moment... we are working hard to get the boards back to full operation.
Also if you tried to update your avatar in the portal, you'll need to do it again because there wasnt enough allotted space on the drive for new files--that's been resolved. Thanks!

We've just finished bringing the new site live, and here are some of the things you should know: 1. Brand new Event Registration system is up and running, under LAN INFO menu. 2. We have synced our existing forums with the new site, so you can use your forums account to log into the site (just once) and be able to cruise the site and the forums and register for events. 3. We will be theming the current forums to fit the new look of the site in the coming days. On another note, July 18th event for 21+ only and the August 1st Grand Opening event registrations are available, and we look forward to seeing you all at the awesome P42 Gaming Arena!!!Facebook Connect

I've had to shut off the Facebook connect feature so I can make some changes to how it's letting people in. I should have it back up within the day.More Articles...
